Teacher –Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade
Qualifications:
- Active, engaged member of Alive Church, demonstrated through regular attendance at weekly services, serving, tithing, participating in a small group, completing Discover, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a heart for discipling children.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or another field.
- Strong support and alignment with the mission of Alive Church and the mission and core values of Alive Academy.
- A role model of Christian behavior and values in and out of the classroom.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create a positive environment that supports and challenges students to grow academically, emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the mission, educational philosophy, and curriculum of Alive Academy.
- Assess student learning, maintain accurate records, and communicate student progress to parents and administration.
- Manage student behavior in a fair and effective manner while upholding the mission, policies, and practices of Alive Academy.
- Supervise students actively in various settings.
- Implement age-appropriate behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to enhance teaching practices, learning experiences, and student outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to continuously improve teaching skills.
