Qualifications:

Active, engaged member of Alive Church, demonstrated through regular attendance at weekly services, serving, tithing, participating in a small group, completing Discover, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a heart for discipling children.
Bachelor’s degree in education or another field.
Strong support and alignment with the mission of Alive Church and the mission and core values of Alive Academy.
A role model of Christian behavior and values in and out of the classroom.

Primary Responsibilities:

Create a positive environment that supports and challenges students to grow academically, emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the mission, educational philosophy and curriculum of Alive Academy.
Assess student learning, maintain accurate records, and communicate student progress to parents and administration.
Manage student behavior in a fair and effective manner, while upholding the mission, policies, and practices of Alive Academy.
Supervise students actively in various settings.
Implement age-appropriate behavior management strategies.
Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to enhance teaching practices, learning experiences and student outcomes.
Participate in ongoing professional development to continuously improve teaching skills.
